"Sham-e-Shahriaran" by Aniza Syed is a novel that sheds light on the social issues prevalent in our society through a showbiz system. The novel, based on a solid foundation, presents two aspects to us.
Firstly, in politics, work is also done through politics, for which there is a famous saying, "For imitation, intelligence is necessary." Yes, indeed, the politics scene is somewhat like this. Now, if we talk about the other aspect, the author has drawn our attention towards the earthquake that occurred in 2005, which became the epicenter of massive destruction, and the story revolves around it. The story shows us where, when, how, and what circumstances arose, keeping us engaged. On the other hand, the lament of politics has also been portrayed. Where is peace in the life of a politician?
On the other hand, in this novel, the story of some estranged friends has also been narrated with charm. Which, thank God, was good, and in my opinion, this is why the novel was completed because in many places, I started feeling sleepy, especially when I read about politics. However, some people should have the freedom to disagree with me because we are hopeful and open-minded.
Reading "Sham-e-Shahriaran" gave us the opportunity to get to know Aniza Apa better. The experience was good. The novel continued to progress sequentially, but I did not like reading about politics. But that does not mean that I have criticized her writing style. Thank God, I have developed a keen interest in reading her now, and I will continue to read her. In simple words, I wrote a small review. I hope it will not be considered criticism while staying within the limits of literature.
