           Ashfaq Ahmed was a writer, playwright and broadcaster from Pakistan. His works in Urdu included novels, short stories and plays for television and radio of Pakistan. He writes with sincerity, reason, provocativeness, religion, and humour. In addition to writing and broadcasting, Ashfaq Ahmed also writes plays. He is the author of numerous Urdu novels.

         His work is further broken down into various categories in Urdu, such as short stories, novels, and plays that he wrote for radio and television. Additionally, he has won numerous honours for his outstanding works.

         From a young age, Ashfaq Ahmed became devoted to intellectual pursuits. He first began writing for the Phool Magazine. After his return from Europe, he started the literary magazine "Dastaango," which means storyteller, and formally entered his profession. 

          As a screenwriter, Ashfaq Ahmad also joined Radio Pakistan. Additionally, he served as director of "Lail-o-Nihar," a popular Urdu weekly (day and night). For his shows, he went by the name Talqeen Shah as well.
