                               Sehr Ek Istaara Hai was one of the best novels published in 1998, and it begins with sacrifices but ends with the happiness that love brings.

          Maryam, Emaan, Sehd, and Hadid are the main characters. Maryam's youngest sister is Emaan, and her childhood fiancé is Sehd. Maryam portrays both a perfect sister and a brilliant mother. She also plays the role of a devoted wife, which results in her happiness at the end of the story.

When Maryam's childhood fiancé refuses to marry her, the story begins with her and her sister Emaan. He desires to marry Emaan. Maryam agrees to the new scheme because she loves her sister, and she foregoes her own life partner. After some time, Emaan seeks divorce after having a two-year-old son from the marriage, Hadid, who is later cared for by Maryam. Misfortune befalls Maryam as Emaan begins an affair with her husband, Sehd. However, this time Maryam is assisted by her son, whom Maryam has cared for for over 20 years; both of them have left the house, Hadid has married and has children.
