                              Darbar-e-Dil is a popular book by renowned author Umera Ahmed. The story is about how a serious mistake separated two lovers and ruined their lives. It emphasises the significance of our actions in shaping our lives. The novel begins with hopes for a better future for its main characters but ends tragically. Mehr Sami and Murad Ali are the novel's two main characters. Mehr is a deeply religious person who is opposed to'modernism,' whereas Murad's values and moral code are diametrically opposed.Murad bets his friend Monas that he will make Mehr fall in love with him one day. Murad begins talking on the phone with Mehr with Monas' help and eventually succeeds in making her fall in love with him. Murad then pretends to be killed in an accident. Mehr is devastated by the news because she was in love with Murad despite the fact that they had never met. As a result of her distress, she alters her lifestyle and, like her lover, becomes a'modernist.' Murad falls in love with a girl in a bookstore one day, not realising that the girl is Mehr.
